East Timor PM says jailbreak was preventable

More than 50 prisoners walked out of the Becora jail on Wednesday, including rebel leader Major Alfredo Reinado, renewing concerns about security in the fledgling nation.

"Had there been strong security outside, this could have been prevented. I am personally just puzzled why in spite of our repeated requests for static forces to be outside the prison this was not done," Ramos-Horta told Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio.

This is what we call "biting the hands that feed you".

US Muslims face growing suspicion

"The trends of Islamophobia unfortunately are worsening," Abdul Malik Mujahid, chairman of the Council of Islamic Organisations of Greater Chicago, said.

Politicians and the media are certainly to blame for the US public's increasing hatred and fear of Islam in the five years since the September 11 attacks.

They continue to face dehumanization and a great trend of Islamophobia. Their crime? Just for being Muslims.

How is that fair?
